Free Concerts In The Park

The communities around here have free concerts in the park every summer. Roseburg being the largest town has the most & last night we went to see a traditional Irish music band, Dervish. We actually live closer to Winston & will be going in a few days to see Red Steagall & The Bunkhouse Boys, who play traditional Western & Cowboy music.

When the moon appears to be close to Earth it's called a super moon. This happens fairly regularly but it's the first time I was awake to see it.

Darlingtonia Californica

Commonly called a cobra lily as it resembles a cobra head with forked tongue. It's a rare carnivorous plant growing only in northern California & coastal southern Oregon.

Mo's Chowder

We had lunch in old town Florence at Mo's, famous for their clam chowder-it was very good-as was the rest of our lunch.
